Clean Coasts
Welcome to the Clean Coasts website. Clean Coasts is a coastal environmental educational and management programme. It is a two strand programme comprising “Coastcare” which engages coastal communities in environmental action at the coast and the “Green Coast Award.” The programme is operated in Ireland by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce. This website is designed to inform you of the Clean Coasts programme, outline case studies of best practice and offer a way of promoting and developing your Clean Coast Programme.

The Clean Coasts programme is currently operating in Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The programme in Ireland is supported by the Department of Environment, Heritage & Local Government, Coca-Cola HBC Ireland, South & East Cork Area Development and Failte Ireland.
